It is finally the day you have been waiting for. The Adopt A Cow (AAC) program officially begins TODAY! We have a lot of great information to share with you this year. Please read through THREE important topics so you can prepare for the school year.
1. How The Program Works As soon as you signed up for the program, you joined the fun! We work with dairy farms across the country to provide you with a real connection to a REAL dairy calf. From October 2023 to May 2024, we will share information digitally about your host farm, your calf birth announcement, three calf updates, additional dairy fun activities, and an opportunity to live chat your calf at the end of the year through YouTube Live.
The digital materials will be available through our Adopt A Cow Web Portal and through our Discover Dairy App. In addition to the digital materials, you will also receive a Welcome Packet about your calf in November (for USA participants only. All registrants will receive the information digitally as well). We will follow up with more information on the Welcome Packet arrival date as we get closer. 2. Complete the Adopt A Cow Pre-Assessment Before we share information about your host farm and calf, we need you to complete the program pre-assessment. To complete the short 6-question pre-assessment, click on the button below.
3. Access the Adopt A Cow Web Portal & Information Logging into your Adopt A Cow account is an important step towards a successful and fun year in the program. To access your account:

The "Account" page will open first. You will find a message from the Discover Dairy team here. This message will change throughout the year to let you know what is happening next.
Click on Menu > Adopt A Cow. Here, you will find all of the resource pages available to you throughout the year.

Overview - provides answers to common questions about the program
Lessons & Standards - shares all three AAC lessons and state standards that will go with the calf updates that are shared throughout the year
