1. Explore the Breeds of Dairy Cows What breed of dairy cow is ? Each breed of dairy cow has unique attributes to learn about. Some breeds make higher protein milk while some have higher fat content which is great for making ice cream! Here are some breed-related videos and activity ideas to do with your students:
Complete the Cow Coloring Sheet after watching the video. Challenge your students to color the cows the same color as the listed breeds. Write down one fact they learned for each breed.
2. Remember Your Cow Code You need to enter your Cow Code on our web portal to access the information about your calf, . This code is your access code all year long.Type your code in on the Calf Updates page.
Throughout the year we encourage you to use our "Contact Your Farmer" tool, to send a hand-written or digital letter to your farmer. Our farmers love getting photos and fun messages from you!
Please note, that the dairy farmers are full-time farmers. They may not have time to respond to your letters, but they do open and read them. Your pictures and kind words brighten their day! Plus, it gives your students a great opportunity to practice their grammar and typing skills.
