Welcome to the Adopt A Cow Program

Hey Friend, 

It is finally the day you have been waiting for. The Adopt A Cow (AAC) program officially begins TODAY! Please read through THREE important notes to prepare for the school year.

1. How The Program Works

From October 2024 to May 2025, we will share information digitally about your host farm and calf birth, provide 6 calf updates and additional dairy fun activities, and host a YouTube Live Chat with your calf. CLICK HERE for the full program calendar.

The digital materials will be available through our Adopt A Cow Portal and the Discover Dairy app. Additionally, you will receive a printed Welcome Packet in the mail by early November. 

2. Complete the Adopt A Cow Pre-Assessment

Before we share calf and farm information, please complete this 6-question pre-assessment.

3. Access the AAC Web Portal & Information

Logging into your Adopt A Cow account is an important step towards a successful and fun year in the program. To access your account: 

• Log in: www.discoverdairy.com/login

• Click on Menu > Adopt A Cow to find all of the resource pages for the year

  • Program Calendar - includes important dates you can expect calf updates

  • Overview - provides answers to common questions about the program

  • Lessons & Standards - shares all three AAC lessons AND state standards for all 50 states that will go with each calf update.
