Accessing Your Materials

Hey Friend, 

We know you are excited to get started with the Adopt A Cow program! Here are THREE questions and answers to help you prepare for the year. 

1. When do I find out about my host farm and adopted calf?

October 8 - Host Farms are announced

October 15 - Calves are announced

2. What is the Cow Code and how do I use it?

Cow Codes will be provided on Tuesday, October 8. Cow Codes are used to access your farm and calf information throughout the year. You can access your information through our website or the Discover Dairy App.

• Log into your account at www.discoverdairy.com/login

  • Menu > Adopt A Cow > Calf Updates

  • Type in your Cow Code and click SUBMIT (Reminder: this feature will not work until you receive your Cow Code on October 8)

  • Adopt A Cow > My Adopted Calf 

  • Type in your Cow Code and click GO (Reminder: this feature will not work until you receive your Cow Code on October 8)

  • CLICK HERE to learn more about using the app

3. When will I get my Welcome Packet?

United States registrants will receive a welcome packet in the mail as part of the free Adopt A Cow program. The packet includes a printed program calendar, farm visitor policy page, printed photo of your calf, and an official adoption certificate. Those outside the US will only receive these resources digitally.
